"Gee, you're sweet" is split up from a single phrase stamp from Card Greetings II, just masked off and then cut up. I like inserting "mom" into the phrase, that's cute. :) Look close and you'll see the flower centers sparkle with glitter paint. Mom's gonna love it.

Sherry likes to use stamps in ways other than their intended purpose (I love that). So these flowers "for mom" are actually snowflake stamps from our Christmas Cards set, only stamped in pink over and over to create pretty pink blossoms that Sherry's husband said looked like they would make him sneeze. :) The stems are masked off triple dotted lines from Card Greetings II, and you'll see some flourishes on the side that Sherry overlapped and pierced some holes along to add texture.

In honor of Mother's Day, we'll be posting a few Mother's Day-themed cards this week so you can get them out to dear mom before the 13th. (Right before the price of stamps goes up!)
Lauren's story: "When I was a little girl, 'You Are My Sunshine' was my favorite song--my mom sang it to me as a baby, and as I grew up I would sing it any time I was happy (still do). My mom will definitely appreciate the sentimental message this sends!"
Lauren used a Cuttlebug Stylized Flowers embossing sheet to emboss the white card base, and inked the sentiment in two different colors. After she stamped it, she used a glue pen to trace "sunshine" and sprinkled on some glitter.
