"smile"

Well here's something this blog hasn't seen in a long time: an actual, factual card made with Green Grass Stamps... stamps. Cute die cut frame, huh? I just got it and I really like it. You can kind of see the embossed dots if you look closely. Stamps are Happy Whales and Darling Dots, both on sale for $5.

Smile button is American Crafts. Ink is Stampin' Up! (pink), Close To My Heart (green), and Tsukineko fabric ink (red). Frame die is Spellbinders Frameabilities.

You won! You have the great distinction of being exactly random enough. Email me your address and once this new set is in I'll mail it to you. greengrass.stamps at gmail dot com.

I really loved your guys' comments and think you're a VERY cool bunch. Thank you for the ideas, I think it's important to hear what kind of stamps stampers want. I saw a lot of requests for sentiments, cute cartoon-y/comic-y stuff, stamps for kid's cards, funky nature stuff, labels, frames, backgrounds, retro... Now to make it a reality.

I don't have a preview of this new set yet, but I will post it as soon as I can.

Shippin'

Just a little update, all stamps ordered since the sale will be shipped tomorrow (Tuesday)! I thought it would be today, but it's taking a bit longer than I thought to get everything ready to go.

Thank you for all the lovely suggestions for future stamp sets!! You guys have some great ideas. I'll post the 3 winners tomorrow night and see if I can get a sneak peek of the March set ready.

new code

Stephanie reported that the previous discount code, IREADTHEBLOG, isn't working. Not sure why, so I just added a new one. Try HAPPYWHALE. (The old one's still there just in case; it might work for you.)

Whale of a stamp

Newest set is up in the store! These are the cutest little guys, they just make me happy to look at them. And actually, that's all it's amounted to, because I've been so busy moving and working on some big changes at my job to even play around with them. Maybe tomorrow will be a relaxed enough Sunday to break them out, though. (Ha. Ha. Ha.) Here's a discount code to get them for 10% off: IREADTHEBLOG. (Because if you've stuck around for this 5+ week drought of posts, you deserve it.)

cute cards in a windowsill

2 more cute cards from Laura. I know, I totally psyched you out on there not being any more design team ones. I forgot about a bunch I still had. (sheepish) This is getting close to the end of them, though.

long time coming

I finally mailed off this happy little guy to my stamp maker today:

Whale-pic-for-blog

He (along with his super-cute little matching baby whale, some other sentiments, waves and more) should be coming back to me in stamp form in a few weeks! I can't wait!

You probably noticed I've stuck with word-based stamps up to this point, and it's because I'm not very good at drawing. But I finally spent some time learning a few more things in Illustrator, and I am so excited to add images to my stamp sets.

More sets to come, including birds, cupcakes and hearts. Wow, that sounds super girly, huh? Hehe. What can I say? I'll do a masculine one for next Father's Day.
